The Aveyron Truffle Growing Association - AAT

The Aveyronnaise Truffle Growing Association was created on February 11, 2023. It brings together truffle growers who want to share their successes and failures with the aim of progressing in order to offer consumers quality truffles.

She wants to develop truffle farming on the abundant limestone soils in the department and encourage farmers to plant truffle trees to diversify their production, especially since truffles thrive in poor soils that are often abandoned and subject to brush fires.

In symbiosis with their host tree, truffles are content with limited quantities of water, their mycelium deploying its water absorption capacities around it. Thus the survival of the host tree and that of the fungus itself are ensured.

Finally, the AAT wishes to make truffles in Aveyron known to both individuals and the catering industry. It will welcome associate members who will participate in discovery and tasting activities for truffles with their subtle aromas.
